About this Role
The FP&A Associate will leverage analytical horsepower paired with diverse problem-solving skills to support DebtBook’s strategic decision-making. This role will work closely with cross-functional department leaders to help drive company growth while balancing capital efficiency.
The FP&A Associate reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance & Strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Initially support (and eventually own) the DebtBook Operating Model and all relevant financial / operating metrics and forecasts for both short and long-term planning, consistently making progress towards improved predictability and accuracy that positively impacts business performance.
- Provide best-in-class financial partnership to teams across the company to assist with various high-impact initiatives (i.e. pricing strategy, resource planning, market / competitive analysis, etc…).
- Prepare and support the analysis of financial statements and KPIs on a monthly basis for use by company leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Support DebtBook’s Revenue Operations team in ensuring acute accuracy of data across all company operating systems (i.e. SalesForce, Mosaic, SaaSGrid, ChurnZero, etc…).
- Own and/or support special projects for the Executive Leadership Team on an as-needed basis.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, VC, PE, FP&A, strategic finance, or other similar roles.
- Superior analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to perform deep dives into the underlying assumptions and quantitative details of all analysis, as well as step back and make recommendations based on the insights you develop.
- Business partnership and collaboration experience at the executive and / or board level with the ability to synthesize complex information and effectively communicate results to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment, capable of prioritizing and executing on a variety of projects at once.
- Experience with key financial/operational data systems (e.g. Quickbooks, Salesforce, Maxio, etc…)
Nice to Haves
- Experience with modern financial planning tools (e.g. Mosaic, SaaSGrid, Vena, Drivetrain, etc…)
- Experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or others
