As a member of the OptumRx CPS Outpatient Finance team, this position will report to the Finance Manager and play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner to CPS business Executives.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9am - 5pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manages and conducts financial analysis, performs budgeting and month end review, and assesses risk. Evaluates need, recommends corrective actions, and implements controls to meet financial goals.
  • Participate in the review and renegotiation of site contracts. Provide financial insight and recommendations to operational management on contractual issues and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Build strong working relationships with key customer stakeholders (Hospital Admin, Hospital CFO and team, DOPs/HSD) to optimize financial results. Gain buy-in and credibility for desired financial outcomes through timely and accountable actions. Deliver a high level of customer service to external clients.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPIs to track business performance, inform future forecasts, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested by Sr. Finance leadership. Perform quality assurance and testing on new application development or enhancements.
  • Be responsive to concerns or requests of other CPS employees, Hospital staff, and clients.
  • Maintain employee and patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of relevant, high-impact financial experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Data and analytics as a core competency
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Ability to deliver data-driven recommendations that result in measurable improvements
  • Ability to anticipate issues, assess implications, and implement appropriate action plans
  • Skilled at driving engagement and accountability among executive stakeholders to achieve agreed-upon performance targets

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 - $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
