Position Summary

We’re currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Akron, OH.
This role will be responsible for managing the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) of our Research and Development (R&D) facility, as well as performing other financial duties. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This role is a HYBRID position in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone Americas Technology Center in Akron, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and influence the budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of CAPEX for the R&D facility.

  • Analyze and report on CAPEX variances, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

  • Collaborate with project managers and department heads to ensure accurate and timely CAPEX reporting.

  • Develop and maintain CAPEX models and financial projections.

  • Work closely with the R&D Finance team and operating partners to understand project requirements and financial implications.

  • Communicate financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a CAPEX-intensive environment.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills and prior experience with SAP and Power BI

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Prior experience of working with a cross-functional team.
