Amentum is seeking a Finance Analyst - Junior to work Remotely as part of a close-knit team, to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. The Finance Analyst - Junior will calculate, monitor, and audit direct costs focusing on budgets and Estimate at Complete (EAC) – specifically tied to management at the work order level.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Perform financial analysis on multiple work orders (Technical Instructions or TIs).

  • Manage funding requirements on multiple work orders/TIs.

  • Assist with charge number set up with TI managers.

  • Review timecard entries of employees and vendors on a weekly basis to ensure proper and accurate charging.

  • Perform random timecard audits with employees on a weekly basis (including Andros based employees).

  • Responsible to partner with varying levels of functional management and program management with regular and ad-hoc reporting, metrics and analysis.

  • Plans and prepares complex studies to determine cost of business activities.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment with ability to identify and improve processes.

  • Assist in the preparation of pricing budgets and budget narratives. Participate in audits with internal and external auditors (e.g. DCAA).

  • Occasional travel to a remote island with limited medical facilities.

  • Perform all other relateed duties and responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of general work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Applicant must be able to travel to locations with limited medical facilities for short duration.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a valid passport.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, preferred.

  • Advanced command of Microsoft Office Suite to include Access relational databases, Excel VLookups, pivot tables, and macros, preferred.

  • Knowledge of VBA and SQL, preferred.

  • Experience with Costpoint Time, Costpoint Expense, and/or IBM MAXIMO, preferred.
