Job Description

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our Nidec Automation business segment, serving as a strategic business partner to the Nidec Motion team and other stakeholders. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Responsiblities & Duties

  • Business Partner with site controllers and operations to drive efficiencies
  • Provide support to build, analyze, and assess customer and product profitability
  • Analyze the P&L and Balance Sheet across time periods and report the results to management through dashboards and presentations
  • Coordinate with business unit finance staff to ensure forecasts or other financial projections are prepared timely, reasonably, and variances are identified and explained
  • Help the business prepare and drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives
  • Provide support to establish data mining and automation techniques and systems that enable more efficient analysis
  • Field and resolve inquiries from management on an ad hoc basis
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, and Plant leaders to influence decision-making aligned with the Motion strategy and financial targets

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 to 4 years relevant experience in Finance, specifically with forecasting and accounting principles
  • Experience with automation and dashboarding tools like Power BI, Oracle, GL Wands, SAP BPC and Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PPT, Word, Note, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact, communicate and navigate effectively with peers
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to perform successfully in a fast paced, rapid changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently
  • Strong ability to work independently and drive results.
