The Role:
As a Blue Ops intern, you’ll join a rotational program that provides exposure to multiple areas of our business, including M&A deals, FP&A, Accounting, Data Science, and Operations. Throughout the internship, you’ll strengthen your technical and analytical skills using tools like Power BI as well as our proprietary Diligent® and Catalyst® software.
This internship offers a unique and dynamic opportunity within a growing, multi-faceted business serving the private equity and investment banking industries. As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, modeling, and business process support. You’ll also act as a valued partner to investment banking, private equity, and corporate clients on software implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational and financial data to provide insights for M&A and FP&A engagements.
- Assist with financial modeling and due diligence in support of client M&A efforts.
- Prepare client-facing presentations and participate in key meetings.
- Support monthly close processes and provide meaningful analysis to management.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and client deliverables.
- Participate in industry case studies to broaden your skillset.
- Collect, manipulate, and structure data from various sources to create actionable insights for clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Junior standing, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or Alteryx is a plus.
- Willingness to develop technical skills with tools such as Diligent®, Catalyst®, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work independently while thriving in a team environment.
- A strong drive for growth, success, and advancement within the organization.
