The Role
Our Strategic Finance team improves financial and operational decision-making across Square. Reporting to the Head of Finance Strategy for Global Sales, Account Management, Partnerships and International this role will support our Global Sales and Account Management functions, which guide our largest sellers' journeys onto Square.
Please note that this role has the opportunity to work remotely anywhere within EST in the U.S.
You Will

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and primary finance partner to Sales and Account Management leadership, providing data-driven insights and guidance to inform high-impact business decisions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, offering mentorship, structure, and direction to ensure continued excellence and professional growth.
  • Own and evolve financial operating models that deliver deep visibility into go-to-market (GTM) investments, team productivity, and ROI, enabling smarter resourcing and investment choices.
  • Set and manage regional sales targets, lead forecasting efforts, align with pipeline performance, and continuously refine sales incentive structures to drive performance and accountability.
  • Drive GTM efficiency and scalability by partnering with cross-functional leaders to identify emerging trends, key performance indicators, and actionable levers for growth.
  • Lead high-impact, ad-hoc strategic analyses that support rapid decision-making and unlock value across Sales, Account Management, and other growth functions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Business Intelligence, Marketing, and other teams to assess the financial implications of key initiatives and ensure alignment with company-wide goals.
  • Steward operating expense planning and budget processes, ensuring resources are strategically allocated to support Square's long-term priorities and GTM success.


You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • 10+ years experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance
  • Proven ability to develop and lead an effective team
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (there will be a case study)
  • Experience with SQL
