Overview
We're seeking a process-driven and technically proficient Finance Operations Lead to build and scale our financial operations infrastructure from the ground up. This is a high-agency, execution-heavy role - ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has strong crypto/fiat payments experience, and wants to be a foundational builder.
You will lead daily operations across stablecoin minting/burning, fiat/crypto settlement, trading, and reconciliation. You’ll own key controls, audit readiness, and financial operations workflows, working closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and external banking and exchange partners.
ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute the end-to-end settlement lifecycle: ACH/wire processing, crypto swaps, reconciliation, exception handling, and transaction validation
Design a scalable reconciliation processes across fiat/stablecoin flows - including daily cash, wallet movements, NAV calculations, and transaction monitoring
Support the design and implementation of Bastion’s SOC1 control framework, including operational control mapping, documentation, and audit trail development.
Build stablecoin operational readiness across mint/redeem workflows, internal controls, fiat on/off ramp processes.
Monitor bank and exchange partners for daily operations: wire verifications, track FX conversions, and manage on and off-chain liquidity movements
Create customer-facing reporting (i.e. daily transaction status, balances, confirmations) and internal dashboards (i.e. reconciliations KPIs, settlement SLAs, volume metrics)
Serve as the point of contact for exception management across failed/ stuck payments, invalid memos or delayed settlements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Compliance to integrate financial operation requirements into systems builds and user flows.
Support the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS)
7-10+ years of experience in financial operations, treasury operations or crypto payment processing.
Strong understanding of fiat and crypto flow of funds: wire transfers, stablecoin mechanics, exchanges, and wallets.
Proven ability to design from first principles and scale systems with minimal existing infrastructure
Experience with Banking and Exchange APIs, reconciliation tooling, and TMS, ERP or Ledger Systems
Demonstrated ownership of SOC1 controls, internal audit readiness or other financial compliance frameworks.
Highly detail-oriented operationally rigorous and able to work independently in a lean environment.
Self-starter with strong communication skills with a bias for execution.
