Essential Job Duties
- Oversees reporting and analytics meant to provide management the information needed to make financial business decisions
- Facilitate internal and external business insights to enable confident, effective business decision making, demonstrate outcomes, support efficiency projects, and enhance financial results
- Identify, research, and resolve complex business problems and develop analytic techniques to provide solutions to drive Sales, Finance, Operations, and overall outcomes
- Monitor and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Identifies relevant datasets and prepares custom or standard reports
- Contributes analysis in the areas of liquidity, costing, and regulatory reporting
- Assists cross-functional units on matters involving product pricing, overhead distribution, inventory rollover, cost determination, and other financial metrics
- Analyzes and interprets financial plans, budgets, tax returns, profit and loss statements, or other financial documents
- Identifies financial position and performance relative to expectations
- Researches broader economic conditions and incorporates findings into financial models
- Fulfill ad-hoc reporting and analysis and other duties as assigned
Skill/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of related experience
- Ability to foster teamwork
- Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices
- Analytical thinking skills
- Ability to research data, organize data, and present data to executive leadership in quality power point presentations
- Knowledge and experience in data mining, deep learning, big data and project management would be considered a plus
- Demonstrated ability to turn end-user requirements into actionable tools and insights
- Willingness to work closely with field operations and cross functional teams within a strong customer service environment
- High standards of accuracy, precision and organization
- Articulate with adequate verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
- Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and willingness to dig for information that may not be readily available
- Comfortable in a high growth atmosphere
- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders
