Lumos is looking for a Finance Intern! If you have a background in finance/accounting or if you are interested in learning about implementing AI tools to help streamline financial reporting processes & automating data extraction, we’d love to hear from you!

**Fully onsite position in our High Point office!***

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with large datasets using formulas, pivot tables and lookups.
  • Utilize basic data manipulation to support data cleaning, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Gain problem solving skills by learning new tools to find solutions independently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize key findings and communicate them to a broader audience.

Project’s You’ll Work On:

  • Opex Spend Analysis:
    • Clean and summarize spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • JV Sales Tracking:
    • Work with sales and marketing teams to create reports on marketing effectiveness, funnel health, and sales success.
  • CIP Cost Tracking:
    • Compiling data to assist in capturing CIP accrual.
    • Aligning against budgeted spending by project and market.
  • Supporting the annual time study:
    • Monitoring time sheets from OSP teams over a 2-week period.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
    • Ability to work with large datasets using formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and basic manipulation to support reconciliations and reporting.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge.
    • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Systems and data curiosity.
    • Comfort learning financial tools such as NetSuite ERP, AP system and RAMP expense reporting.
