The Team You Will Join
The Internal Audit Department plays a key role in the internal control system of MetLife. Its mandate is to provide independent and objective assurance over the design and effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate risks and to provide advisory services designed to improve the operations. This role will be a contributing member of the Finance audit team and will primarily be responsible for assisting the Lead Auditor with testing and other project-related tasks.
The Opportunity
An Auditor assists throughout the audit lifecycle to efficiently execute and document testing. This role embraces and models MetLife's values while contributing to department strategy and activities. Auditors help set priorities, meet deadlines, and escalate issues where necessary.

- Performs and documents audit and issue testing and advisory reviews
- Meets project deadlines and all quality expectations
- Supports the audit team plans and objectives
- Actively manages development of professional career

- Routinely studies change to industry trends, audit practices, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks to understand their impact on assigned tasks
- Assists the Lead Auditor with project tasks as assigned
- Actively participates in client relationship management
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 1-5 years of audit or relevant business experience
- Holds or pursuing relevant business certification (CPA, CIA, etc.)
- Analytical skills, problem solving, critical thinking, sound business judgment
- Effective and proactive communication (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Takes advantage of available learning; pursues opportunities
- Basic to intermediate understanding of current and emerging trends and risks
- Basic to intermediate understanding of operations, policies, and procedures frameworks
- Basic to intermediate understanding of generally accepted audit standards, sampling/testing methodologies, risk management, and regulatory and statutory reporting
- Basic to intermediate understanding of financial services industry, regulations, and products
- Basic to intermediate understanding of tools used for data analysis and analytics, and project management tools and techniques
What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
- Experience using Alteryx, Power BI, ACL, Microsoft Copilot, and/or other data analysis, data visualization, AI tools
The salary range for applicants for this position is $53,000 - $75,000.
