Senior Accountant / Finance Manager (E-Commerce)
Remote (Philippines) / Full-Time
About Us
We're a US-based e-commerce company operating at scale across direct-to-consumer, retail, and TV channels. Our brands include products in the pet and home categories. We're building institutional-grade finance operations to support continued growth and strategic initiatives over the next 12-18 months.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations. You'll report directly to the CEO and be responsible for keeping our books clean, payments on time, and financial data accurate. This is a hands-on execution role with room to grow into a broader finance leadership position.
What You'll Own
Payments & Disbursements
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Vendor payment scheduling, including preparing and executing wire transfers
- Credit card payment management and payoff scheduling
- Payroll audit and processing (Chase to Wise transfers)
- Influencer and contractor payment processing
- Manual refund processing (PayPal)
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Purchase order reconciliation and balancing against invoices and inventory received
- Daily cash reconciliation across multiple bank accounts and payment processors
- Bank and credit card reconciliations (Chase, Amex, Stripe, PayPal)
- Ad spend reconciliation (Meta, TikTok, AppLovin, Google) against invoices and charged payments
- Inventory stock report reconciliation (bi-weekly)
- Amazon and marketplace sales journal entries
Tax & Compliance
- Sales tax filing and compliance (US, UK, AU) via TaxJar
- Sales tax registration for new nexus states
- Coordinating with external tax partners (SimplyVAT, Zonkeepers)
- Audit support and documentation
Bookkeeping & Financial Oversight
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintaining accurate records in QuickBooks and Fulfil.io (ERP)
- G&A expense review and departmental allocation
- Documenting and improving finance SOPs and workflows
- Supporting ad-hoc reporting and analysis for leadership

What We're Looking For
- Licensed CPA (Philippines) with 5+ years of accounting experience
- Prior experience supporting US-based companies strongly preferred
- Familiarity with e-commerce accounting: payment processors, chargebacks, inventory, COGS
- Experience with sales tax compliance and multi-state/international filings a plus
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented — consistency matters
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Available to work during US business hours (EST overlap required)
Compensation
- $2,000 - $2,600/month depending on experience, plus performance incentives.
