Who We Are

Inspiren offers a complete and connected technology ecosystem for senior living. Founded by Michael Wang, a former Green Beret and cardiothoracic nurse, Inspiren was built on the belief that compassionate care and technology can and should coexist.

Our integrated solutions fit into existing workflows and give senior-living operators greater visibility into what is happening across their communities. Supported by nurse specialists and powerful analytics, Inspiren helps teams make informed clinical and operational decisions that improve efficiency, outcomes, and quality of care.

You’ll join a growing global team united by a shared mission, with a new NYC office designed to strengthen collaboration and in-person connection.

This is a full-time, temporary position expected to last approximately six months. In this role the Field Support Technician is Inspiren's on-the-ground presence at senior living communities — supporting site installation, site readiness, device servicing, and quality assurance for Inspiren's connected devices (AUGi, Sense, Help Buttons, Gateways, and Links). Working alongside the Implementation Manager (IM) and Support Teams, this role provides hands-on field support before, during, and after installation: confirming site readiness, performing quality checks on installed devices, assisting with placement and servicing as directed, and troubleshooting exceptions in real time.

What You'll Do

Site Readiness & Walkthroughs

  • Conduct room-by-room walkthroughs to confirm device placement and counts using Inspiren's mapping/walkthrough tools

  • Perform wireless network (Wi-Fi) scans

  • Capture room naming, device counts, and placement data per Inspiren conventions

  • Flag exceptions, access issues, or placement ambiguity to the IM in real time

Device Support & Quality Assurance

  • Assist with mounting, cable management, and power confirmation for AUGi, Sense, Help Button, Gateway, and Link devices as directed by the IM

  • Perform quality assurance checks confirming installed devices meet Inspiren's placement and configuration standards

  • Provide ongoing field support for previously installed devices, including troubleshooting, minor adjustments, and device swaps/replacements

  • Maintain an installation/service log documenting devices serviced, locations, and exceptions

  • Follow cleanliness and control procedures per facility requirements

  • Update spreadsheets/tracking systems with install and service status

  • Ongoing device maintenance, including servicing of individual devices or full installed communities post installation

Client & Resident Interaction

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with community staff, leadership, and residents and escalate issues as needed

  • Follow resident privacy, dignity, and interaction guidelines

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate closely with the onsite or remote IM to execute the agreed project scope (via Slack/text at smaller or remote-supported sites)

  • Provide end-of-day summaries and immediate escalation of critical blockers

  • Submit expense reports within timely manner

What You Bring
  • Must pass a background check

  • Installation and device maintenance experience

  • Reliable full week travel availability (2–3 sites/week)

  • Comfort working in senior living/healthcare-adjacent environments

  • Strong communication skills for client- and resident-facing work

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks without dropping details

  • Skilled at managing customer/resident experience with professionalism and empathy

  • High degree of personal trustworthiness and accountability (unsupervised access to resident spaces and belongings)

Physical Requirements
  • Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs comfortably

  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder repeatedly throughout the day

  • Ability to move furniture as needed for installation/service access

  • Ability to get on/off the floor (e.g., for low-mounted device servicing)

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under physical and situational demands
