The Field Sales Facilitator is responsible for the development and execution of sales training company-wide. This role will ensure that all Outside Sales team members have proper working knowledge of internal sales processes, product, closing skills and consultative selling techniques. The Facilitator will partner with Outside Sales Leaders to create training materials and develop the sales acumen of all team members. This role will collaborate with Human Resources on new hire sales training as well as ongoing training curriculum. The scope of training will include all skill levels, from basic sales concepts to advanced selling techniques.
• Plan, conduct, coordinate and implement a comprehensive sales training program within budget limitations unique to the company's goals and values.• Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation drive-a longs with senior representatives.• Determines training needs by traveling with sales representatives; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports; conferring with sales managers.• Schedule team training plans on a regular basis.• Oversee and monitor the training program effectiveness and suggest improvements.• Evaluate sales team performance to ensure incorporation of taught techniques.• Report on training program effectiveness.• Create an open-communication climate and gather team members' preferences for potential trainings.• Partner with sales management and human resources to ensure training objectives are met with standardized and cohesive materials.• Partner with the Director, Pro Solution Center to ensure consistency and shared objectives with call center functions.• Partner with relevant peers at Lowe's to ensure alignment with enterprise training goals and techniques.• People Leadership responsibilities for Pro Outside Sales facilitators
Requirements:• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.• 5-7 years of outside sales experience with a proven track record• 1-3 years of leading, training or coaching a sales team• Experience with renovation project support and managing national accounts• Excellent oral and written communication skill, to include sharp presentation skills and the ability to motivate, teach and inspire both in a live classroom environment and in a virtual learning environment• Understanding of the sales process, preferably with customer service experience.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint.• Ability to travel frequently to conduct trainings and attend sales meetings.
