In this role you willAbout the Role
This role will be a remote, full-time 5 month contract position serving as a Field Marketing Manager to support Empathy's growing Life Insurance Distribution business by planning and executing regional field marketing programs that enable our distribution teams and strengthen relationships with carriers, wholesalers, independent agents, and strategic partners. Please note the first 2 months will be on a part-time basis before transitioning to full-time for the remainder of the contract.
This is a highly execution-focused role responsible for managing conferences, roadshows, sales meetings, agent engagement programs, and regional marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys being on the road, and partners closely with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) and distribution leadership to deliver exceptional experiences that drive awareness, engagement, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute regional marketing programs supporting Empathy's Life Insurance Distribution organization.
- Partner closely with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), distribution leadership, and sales teams to support regional business priorities and field initiatives.
- Manage logistics and execution for conferences, roadshows, carrier meetings, sales kickoffs, and regional events, including vendor coordination, communications, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop field marketing materials and sales enablement assets to support wholesalers, distribution partners, and agent engagement.
- Coordinate sponsorships, speaking opportunities, tabletop experiences, and regional activations.
- Track program performance, manage event budgets, and provide recommendations to improve field marketing effectiveness.
- Partner with the broader Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all field programs and events.
- Build trusted relationships across Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Customer Success, and external partners to ensure flawless execution.
- 5-7+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or distribution marketing.
- Experience supporting life insurance, financial services, wealth management, or another highly relationship-driven B2B industry strongly preferred.
- Proven success executing conferences, roadshows, sales meetings, and field events.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering closely with sales leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing vendors, budgets, timelines, and logistics with minimal oversight.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to solve problems quickly while on-site.
- Experience using AI tools to improve planning, content creation, and operational efficiency is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 40-60%), including evenings and occasional weekends, to support regional events and conferences across North America.
- Must be comfortable working on-site at events and representing the Empathy brand in customer- and partner-facing environments.
