About this role:
The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technological solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.
The Fax Infrastructure Engineer will own the stability, scalability, and security of our enterprise faxing platform, with a primary focus on OpenText RightFax. You will lead operations, enhancements, and integrations for fax services that support critical business workflows. Prior hands-on experience with OpenText RightFax is required. Experience with Biscom FAXCOM or comparable Fax-over-IP solutions is a plus.
In this role, you will:
  • Support initiatives that deliver workable end to end infrastructure solutions
  • Participate in test planning and execution
  • Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates
  • Design, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various platforms and our business portfolio
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize RightFax across production and nonproduction environments, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability against SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot fax delivery, routing, and quality issues; analyze logs, SIP traces, and packet captures; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management, including migrations to RightFax Connect where applicable.
  • Engineer and maintain integrations with email, document management, print, and line-of-business applications, coordinate with application owners and vendors.
  • Configure and support FoIP components including SIP trunks and session border controllers.
  • Implement high availability, DR, backup, and recovery for fax infrastructure; perform regular resilience testing.
  • Automate routine tasks and operational checks using PowerShell, Python, or a comparable scripting language; contribute reusable scripts and runbooks.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning; create dashboards and reports for health, usage, and trends.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and change records suitable for audits.
  • Partner with security, network, voice, and endpoint teams to uphold compliance requirements and remediate vulnerabilities or configuration drift.
  • Provide on-call support for major incidents; participate in problem management and post-incident reviews; mentor junior engineers and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ year administering OpenText RightFax in an enterprise production environment, including installation, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting.
  • 1+ year proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server as they relate to RightFax components.
  • 1+ year strong knowledge of enterprise telephony and FoIP fundamentals: SIP signaling, codecs, and fax interworking behaviors.
  • 1+ year experience with packet capture and diagnostics tools such as Wireshark and with interpreting SIP messages and RTP/UDPTL behaviors.
  • 1+ year scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar for automation, reporting, and API-driven operations.
  • 1+ year experience working within formal change, incident, and problem management processes in regulated environments.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with RightFax Connect and migration from legacy on-prem fax transport.
  • Experience with Biscom FAXCOM or other fax platforms.
  • Familiarity with session border controllers and carrier interop; experience with vendors such as AudioCodes or Ribbon.
  • Exposure to cloud fax and modern integration patterns (REST APIs, queues).
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent operational discipline.
  • Experience producing audit-ready documentation, and with security hardening and vulnerability remediation for fax services.
  • OpenText RightFax training or certification strongly preferred; willingness to complete OpenText certification within the first 6 months if not currently held.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$37.02 - $69.71
