We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled IT Operations Support Specialist to join our motorsports organization. This role will focus primarily on supporting Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulators and broader Competition Services IT infrastructure for our new F1 team, ensuring seamless operation of mission-critical systems used in preparation, testing, and race support. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of IT expertise, problem-solving ability, and a passion for motorsports technology.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of IT expertise, problem-solving ability, and a passion for motorsports technology.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Simulator Operations Support
- Provide first and second-line support for Driver-in-the-Loop simulator systems, including hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot simulator PCs and AV systems.
- Ensure maximum system uptime and performance for engineering and driver sessions.
Competition Services Support
- Deliver IT support across race operations, including supporting trackside IT Operations Staff and remote workers & environments.
- Maintain and deploy servers, networking hardware, telemetry systems, and competition-critical software.
- Assist engineering staff with data acquisition, transfer, and security.
- Provide hands-on technical support during race events, testing sessions, and other competition-related activities.
Systems Administration & Maintenance
- Support the setup, configuration, and monitoring of Windows based systems.
- Apply updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain system reliability.
- Work with IT Operations Manager to develop backup, recovery, and contingency plans.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Partner with simulation engineers, performance engineers, and competition staff to understand operational needs and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, best practices, and system configurations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT workflows and standards.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Proven IT operations/support experience in a high-performance, time-critical environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and operating systems
- Experience with computer networking (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless)
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting skills (PCs, servers, AV equipment, peripherals)

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to deliver solutions quickly in fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in motorsports, simulation, or similar technical environments
- Knowledge of telemetry systems and motorsport-specific IT infrastructure
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
