Job Description
Applicant will be responsible for the technical analysis and generation of quarterly Structures fleet tracking reports (Individual Aircraft Tracking, Loads/Environment Spectra Survey) for the Operational F-35 Lightning II fleet.
Using a toolset provided by the UK based Structures and Prognostics Health Management (SPHM) team, the applicant will work with the SPHM lead and Prime Contractor (Lockheed Martin) to develop and mature reporting content. The role requires maturation of reports to meet customer requirements and delivery to a contracted schedule.
The applicant will be expected to work independently and take responsibility for production of the reports, but will have the full back-up support of the SPHM lead.
The applicant is expected to be able to solve problems with limited initial guidance and sharing best practice.
This is a role within an expanding team which will continue to grow in size as the F-35 operational aircraft fleet grows.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • The ability to quickly gain a complete understanding and use of the processes, tools and standards used within the SPHM team
  • The ability to understand, manipulate and summarize large amounts of data
  • Developing solutions to identify trends and data problems with limited direction from senior members of the team
  • Provide database management, identification of flights, identification and management of corrupt data
  • Dealing with technical queries and requests from the customer - which will involve preparation of ad-hoc data using SQL or other methods
  • Provide independent recommendations for task expansion, increased efficiency, and performance improvement
  • Maintain high profile customer contact for improving liaison and good technical and programmatic relationships
  • Participate in the development of capability, observe system operation and describe problems encountered
  • Data analysis to identify trends within the data, clear concise reporting of data trends within the quarterly reports
  • Responsibility for the generation and presentation of analysis data metrics and presentation to the leadership and customer on a weekly basis
  • Communicating issues and concerns to the SPHM team leadership in a clear and concise manner
  • Preparing recommendations and corrective action requirements reports
  • Preparing and giving presentations to management and customers
  • The ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to team members in order to accomplish the required objectives
  • Working independently and taking responsibility for the quality of the teams work output
  • Ensuring that best practice is shared throughout the SPHM team
  • Responsibility for the supervision and management of a group of engineers
  • Leading technical efficiency and lean improvement tasks to maintain the team affordability on the F-35 program and customer
  • Identification and support growth of the structural toolset within the F-35 Program
  • Use of Internal and Off the Shelf tools to generate the required documentation utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Develop data gathering methods as required to ensure reports meet customer expectations
  • The ability to self-check reports and technically review team member reports to ensure the highest quality is provided to the customer
  • Supervise and take responsibility for the technical analysis and quarterly report generation
  • Ability to learn the basics of the following programming languages: Python/SQL/Visual Basic

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Provide a source of Structures knowledge to the SPHM team
  • Ability to generate scripts using the following programming languages: SQL / Python / Visual Basic
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access database development and its use
  • Experience of the F-35 ITAR Export Technical Transfer Controller role

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
