The Role 

We're looking for an Extended Hours Surveillance Analyst to join our Market Surveillance team. In this role, you'll help protect market integrity by monitoring trading activity during overnight sessions in our 23/5 exchange environment. 

You'll fit right in if you're detail-oriented, comfortable working independently during non-traditional hours, and energized by the responsibility of safeguarding fair and orderly markets. 

Shift Details: 
Sunday evening through Friday morning, 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM (Eastern Time) 

Initial training (up to 3 months) would be standard hours.

What You'll Do 

  • Monitor equity trading in real time, identifying suspicious patterns, unusual price movements, and order book anomalies. 

  • Review automated surveillance alerts and material disclosures from listed companies, escalating issues when needed. 

  • Intervene in trading when necessary, including trade breaks and trading suspensions. 

  • Draft preliminary referrals for suspected market abuse or disciplinary matters. 

  • Collaborate with the MarketWatch team to fulfill regulatory responsibilities and contribute to special projects. 

What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 

  • 1–3 years of experience in market surveillance, compliance, trading operations, or a related area. 

  • Strong understanding of equity markets and trading mechanisms. 

  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours and make sound decisions under pressure. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. 

Nice to Have 

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and market abuse detection. 

  • Knowledge of surveillance tools and alert management systems.
