WHERE CULTURE CALLS HOME

Group Black is a media company that drives growth for brands targeting the New Majority — the fastest-growing demographic of diverse audiences shaping culture and driving significant economic impact. Dedicated to fostering an inclusive media ecosystem, Group Black amplifies underrepresented voices and crafts contextually relevant strategies that deeply resonate with today’s multicultural generation. Group Black is where culture calls home.

We know that your voice creates the path to our success. We are a place where employees can be authentic, creative, and energized by the people and work they touch each day.

Are you a creative storyteller who loves dreaming up ways to weave brands into real-world moments? Do you get energized thinking about how a brand can show up at an event in unexpected, unforgettable ways?

If so, we’re looking for you.

We're seeking a nimble, highly creative Experiential Strategist to join our team on a contract basis. You'll help concept and shape bold, culturally resonant ideas for one of our top CPG clients — partnering with creative and strategy leads to turn insights into big ideas and build experiential moments that break through the noise. From early brainstorms to polished decks, you'll bring a sharp strategic lens, a passion for culture, and a knack for creating experiences that don't just show up — they stand out.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop experiential concepts rooted in cultural and consumer insights.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to bring ideas to life visually and verbally.
  • Craft strategic narratives, frameworks, and positioning to sell through ideas internally and externally.
  • Contribute to high-level client brainstorms and strategy sessions.
  • Create clear, compelling decks that bring experiential ideas to life.
  • Architect experiential activations ranging from stand-alone brand moments to scalable, mobile experiences designed for multi-stop executions
  • Proven concepting experience with various budgets tiers to refine and execute experiential ideas in a tangible way
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams—from production, creative, and accounts—to develop compelling 360° experiential concepts.
  • Stay ahead of trends in experiential, consumer behavior, and brand experience.

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years in creative strategy, experiential marketing, or brand experience roles.
  • Strong concepting skills with a strategic foundation
  • Experience working with or pitching to major CPG brands preferred.
  • Excellent storytelling skills – both in writing and presenting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing quick turnarounds.
  • Experience attending an HBCU or working closely with HBCU communities is a strong plus.
  • Applicants must provide a portfolio showcasing relevant work
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and objectives of the organization
