Midi is seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive & Legal Operations Assistant to provide high-level support to our General Counsel across both legal operations and executive administration. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth functioning of the legal team by supporting contract workflows, systems implementation, and internal coordination—while also managing day-to-day logistics and communications for the General Counsel.

Responsibilities

Legal Operations Support, including without limitation:

  • Support contract workflows, including intake, tracking, execution, and filing.
  • Monitor key legal metrics and maintain up-to-date dashboards.
  • Assist with implementation and ongoing management of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
  • Migrate and organize contracts from legacy systems; maintain the company’s IP portfolio and related records.
  • Track deadlines and notices for intellectual property applications and filings.
  • Maintain and update internal legal resources (e.g., Notion or similar platforms).
  • Build out and assist in management of board materials, including board books and board portal support.
  • Maintain and update database for regulatory tracking.

Executive Support

  • Calendar Management: Coordinate complex and high-volume scheduling for the General Counsel, including cross-functional and external meetings.
  • Meeting Preparation & Support: Organize materials and manage logistics for executive meetings, board meetings, speaking engagements, and internal legal team meetings.
  • Presentation & Collateral Support: Assist with the development, editing, and formatting of decks and internal documents.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in an administrative, legal assistant, or executive assistant role supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience supporting legal or legal operations functions required; experience in a startup or high-growth company strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • High level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent the General Counsel professionally in internal and external interactions.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, Slack, Notion, and tools like Expensify; experience with CLM systems is a plus.
