About the role

Responsible for delivering the enrollment connectivity and platform capabilities that power digital-first enrollment and benefits administration ecosystem. Enables frictionless case setup, clean partner interactions, streamlined enrollment workflows, and seamless connectivity with key benefit administration platforms, HRIS/HCM systems, brokers, and employer partners.
Incorporates modern integration approaches, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) to support context-aware interactions and improved enrollment throughput. Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Integrations, Infrastructure, Data, Security, and SI partners to deliver scalable, high-quality enrollment capabilities that advance Trustmark’s modernization strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead delivery of enrollment platform capabilities, including partner-facing integrations, case setup functions, eligibility and EOI workflows, and ongoing enrollment connectivity across external and internal systems.

Act as an escalation point for enrollment-related integration risks, partner issues, and data validation concerns, driving proactive mitigation and continuous improvement.

Enable participation growth by ensuring accurate eligibility data, high-quality partner connectivity, and frictionless case setup that supports seamless enrollment experiences delivered by the Digital Delivery team.

Ensure seamless connectivity with ben-admin platforms, brokers, HRIS/HCM systems, and employer partners, supporting accurate, timely, and frictionless enrollment processes.

Oversee enrollment integration designs, mapping specifications, file layouts, API definitions, event models, eligibility workflows, and orchestrated workflow patterns.

Serve as the technical authority for enrollment connectivity, ensuring solutions support scalability, resiliency, accurate data handling, and secure exchange across partner ecosystems.

Champion modern integration patterns including API-first design, microservices, MACH principles, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous data flows.

Apply an automation-first approach using OCR, RPA, AI-enabled validation, and automated reconciliation to enhance data quality, reduce manual effort, and strengthen partner experience.

Provide strong oversight of SI partners, ensuring adherence to architecture standards, reusable component development, delivery timelines, and high-quality partner onboarding.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12+ years of leadership experience in integration delivery, enrollment technology, benefits. administration, or enterprise platform development.
  • Highly proficient in API-first integration design, MACH-aligned architectures (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless), event-driven models, and the data structures that underpin HRIS, ben-admin, employer ecosystems, and downstream policy administration platforms.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale enrollment or partner integrations within voluntary benefits, group insurance, or adjacent industries.
  • Challenges System Integration partners, reviews integration designs and specifications, and ensures enrollment connectivity solutions are built for scalability, resiliency, accuracy, and partner ease-of-use.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and hold SI partners accountable for design quality, architecture compliance, and delivery performance.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements specific to enrollment and benefits administration.
  • Certifications in Agile/SAFe, integration technologies, or enterprise architecture frameworks are desirable.
  • Previous people leadership experience.
  • Executive-level communication and leadership, with the ability to influence across technical, operational, and business teams.
  • Strong vendor and SI partner management skills, including negotiation, onboarding governance, and performance oversight.
  • Deep understanding of agile-at-scale delivery methods and modern digital solution delivery.
  • Ability to lead through complexity and drive clarity in multi-stakeholder partner ecosystems.
  • Strong technical judgment across API-first, MACH, microservices, and event-driven integration models.
  • Ability to align enrollment connectivity capabilities to business value, partner experience goals, and enterprise modernization priorities.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree.

The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):

$131,991.00 - $245,127.00 per year

The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for commission. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
