As they expand their portfolio, they are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and hands-on Executive Vice President of Operations to help shape the future of the organization.

The Executive Vice President of Operations will play a critical leadership role in building the operational infrastructure of our company. The Executive Vice President of Operations will help architect the operational framework of an AI property management company, where automation and data intelligence power every function. This includes leading a team of property and regional managers, optimizing workflows, developing new policies and procedures, and ensuring consistent execution across the portfolio. The right candidate brings strong experience in multifamily property operations, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is excited by the challenge of building and scaling a business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to the overall company vision, strategy, and culture.
  • Continue to build and scale operations by diagnosing opportunities and implementing systems, policies, and processes that support company growth.
  • Lead and mentor regional and site-level teams to create a resident-focused high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top operational talent.
  • Lead training initiatives to promote professional development and elevate property-level performance.
  • Build a positive and accountable team culture grounded in shared values and high standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the portfolio, ensuring properties are meeting financial, occupancy, and resident satisfaction targets.
  • Identify underperforming assets and implement turnaround strategies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management protocols are maintained.
  • Develop and implement company-wide policies, playbooks, and operational protocols.
  • Regularly assess current workflows and recommend improvements for efficiency and performance.
  • Drive operational consistency through the development of scalable, standardized procedures.
  • Assess, select, and implement property management and operational technology platforms.
  • Leverage data and reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.
  • Assess, suggest, and champion artificial intelligence capabilities, automation and modern tools to streamline back-office and onsite workflows.
  • Own the P&L across the managed portfolio, ensuring top-line revenue growth and cost discipline.
  • Collaborate with asset management and finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence and drive proactive decision-making at the community level.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in multifamily property management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep experience managing diverse portfolios of multifamily assets.
  • Strong track record in leading operational turnarounds, creating scalable systems, and building teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable; thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Yardi Voyager) and operational dashboards.
  • Thoughtfulness and willingness to understand and leverage AI
