The Events team within Personal Investor & AWM Marketing is seeking an experienced events specialist to execute marketing strategies in support of broader business objectives. The Specialist will play an active role in our invitation strategy and provide creative insights to support and refine our distribution plan. In addition, the Events Marketing Specialist will be a key contributor throughout the planning and execution of webcasts and in-person events, delivering meaningful, insight-driven experiences for clients and prospects. This position will be instrumental in bringing marketing strategies to life and ensuring that Vanguard’s events are client-centric, compliant, and aligned with business priorities. 

As a key partner to marketing and business stakeholders, the Events Marketing Specialist provides creative input and supports content development for live and digital events. The ideal candidate combines storytelling skills with operational expertise, ensuring every event reflects Vanguard’s brand integrity, regulatory standards, and commitment to client engagement. This position reports to the Head of Events & Seismic.

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Personal Investor & AWM business teams to execute webcast and event strategies from start to finish, including distribution and channel optimization, creative development, and content alignment. 

  • Develop cohesive communications plans for events that support business objectives and enhance client experience. 

  • Manage planning workflows in Adobe Workfront, ensuring timely input of project details and creative requests. 

  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce clear, engaging, and compliant client-facing content. 

  • Track and analyze event performance metrics, leveraging insights to recommend improvements and inform future strategies. 

  • Coordinate logistics with Media Services and Corporate Event Planning teams to deliver seamless experiences for executives and business partners. 

  • Support special projects and flex into additional communications strategy work as needed.

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with webcast platforms and event technology (e.g. Kaltura, Wistia) preferred. 

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant work experience. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

Nice to Have 

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Workfront). 

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data management practices. 

  • Experience designing surveys and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and recommendations.
