GIS Sales Internship

Collaborate with solution engineers, sales professionals, and other staff to help customers understand the value of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Apply your business development and relationship building skills in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

What You'll Do:

We have opportunities on our account management teams in our Charlotte, NC and San Antonio, TX offices. The summer would consist of:

  • Learning key Esri products such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro, and how they solve real-world business challenges.

  • Participating in customer engagements alongside experienced account managers and solution engineers, building your relationship management skills.  

  • Developing a foundational understanding of business development, that can be leveraged for a future in Sales, Marketing, Consulting and various Technical roles.

Requirements:

  • We seek students who are majoring in GIS, geography, or business and are currently enrolled in a master’s, or PhD program at a university in the United States; 

  • General knowledge of Esri products and GIS

  • Strong interest in sales and customer engagement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically presentation skills

  • Desirable students that will be graduating with a graduate degree by 2026. 

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. 

  • Able to complete a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2026

Program Timeline:

  • Applications Accepted: September 2 –December 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm PST

  • Interviews: Students selected for phone interviews will be notified by email on a rolling basis October 2025–January 31, 2026

  • Internship: 12 weeks beginning in late May or June 2026

Compensation Statement: “The Company” Section:

The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience to include specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share.

A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $34.00 – $38.00.
