Engage with PDx Leadership to embed environmental sustainability into business segment and R&D strategies, ensuring integration through business programs and projects. Define and integrate sustainability expectations throughout the value chain, from LCAs to product takeback programs.
Lead efforts within the PDx business to advance GE HealthCare’s public climate commitments and corporate environmental initiatives by aligning functional strategies, driving execution, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve sustainability goals.
Partner with the GE HealthCare Corporate EHS team, GE HealthCare Corporate Head of ESG, internal product compliance engineering and business segment engineering teams to ensure alignment with the PDX sustainability program and integration of environmental priorities into product development.
Execute decarbonization roadmaps with the manufacturing sites aligned with our science-based targets and net-zero goals.
Collaborate with PDx Leadership and functional experts (Legal, Marketing, Commercial Sales, Sourcing, Engineering, QA, Finance, etc.) to communicate ESG priorities internally and externally and respond to emerging issues.
Monitor and respond to emerging environmental regulations and customer tenders to proactively align business practices and ensure long-term resilience.
Provide strategic guidance to ensure compliance with local regulations and societal expectations, enabling sustainable business growth.
Coach, mentor, and lead teams in implementing sustainability initiatives that deliver on business goals and objectives.
Drive change management efforts with the GE HealthCare Environmental Team to build momentum and engagement for sustainability-related operational changes across the organization.
Solid experience in a similar role gained in the life science, healthcare, automotive manufacturing or logistic process industry, or any similar environments.
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering – chemical/technical discipline preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing product life cycle assessments (LCAs), including evaluating environmental impacts across design, manufacturing, use, and end-of-life stages.
Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate well within all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to lead in a complex global environment energizing global teams and executing global projects.
Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment.
Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork.
Ability to travel globally (30%).
Fluency in English
Credibility: this position will work with stakeholders at all levels within the organization. This role will require strong subject matter expertise, effective communications, challenge and influencing skills and engage stakeholders through strong interpersonal connections.
Ability to create long lasting relationships, build trust and manage conflicts/unforeseen events with any stakeholder.
Experience in engaging with Regulatory authorities to manage and mitigate product stewardship risks
