Make Your Mark:

The Net New Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for driving new business by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with prospective customers. This role focuses on selling BlackLine’s market-leading SaaS solutions to Finance and Accounting leaders (Controllers, CFOs, VPs), ensuring they achieve measurable outcomes through automation and transformation. Success in this role requires a passion for value-based selling, a consultative approach, and the ability to build lasting relationships with executive decision-makers.

You'll Get To:

  • Generate net-new pipeline and consistently meet or exceed quota.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution mapping, business case development, negotiation, and close.
  • Sell on value and ROI, not just technical features—showing customers how BlackLine transforms their finance operations.
  • Build trust and credibility with C-suite and senior finance leaders through face-to-face conversations and presentations.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan that drives results across multiple accounts.
  • Be in-market and in-person with prospects and customers, whether discovery meetings, workshops, or executive presentations, to accelerate relationships and deal momentum.
  • Partner cross-functionally with PreSales, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver a world-class customer experience.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and maintain CRM hygiene.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience with a track record of quota attainment. SaaS experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to value sell—demonstrated success in building ROI-driven business cases and influencing C-level decisions.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • History of successfully selling C-Level and across both IT and business units
  • Must thrive on in-person engagement. Travel and face-to-face customer meetings are expected an estimated 30% of the time.
  • Comfortable managing complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles (12+ months).
  • High integrity, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.

BlackLine recognizes that the ways we work and the workplace itself has shifted. Candidates who live within a reasonable commute to one of our offices will work in the office at least 3 days a week.

Salary Range:

$115,000.00-$136,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model – for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
