Enterprise Risk Management Expert (Director/Analyst, Fully Remote United States)

About the Role:

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have insights and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. The Analyst plays a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative insights which Gartner clients consume and apply to propel their business toward key objectives.

This Analyst will also lead internal insights discussions among fellow Analysts and collaborate with Analysts across Gartner’s Assurance Practice. This Analyst is a trusted source of advice for clients, discussing complex client challenges and offering appropriate recommendations. You will reinforce Gartner’s value daily by engaging clients via 1:1 virtual meeting, sales support visits and our practice’s conferences. This role includes both writing and speaking about best practices in Enterprise Risk Management.

Your versatility allows you to seamlessly pivot to new subjects, effectively addressing the evolving challenges faced by our clients. You enjoy helping clients achieve their mission-critical priorities, and you excel in collaboration, quickly building rapport and trust with both clients and colleagues. You're a confident presenter with a strong executive presence. Your analytical thinking allows you to quickly process information and make actionable recommendations.

Please note, this is an individual contributor role, not a leadership position with direct reports.

What You Will Do:

• Create high-quality, clear, actionable, “must-have insights” and written content in Enterprise Risk Management. Specific focus areas will include ERM data and analytics, GRC technology and adoption, risk monitoring, and risk reporting.

• Research, analyze and predict ERM trends and shifts and provide clients with actionable insights.

• Conduct research and analysis in Risk Management and produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, analytically deep, fact-based research.

• Apply critical thinking skills to de-construct and frame challenging client questions.

• Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.

• Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings.

• Actively participate in innovation, ideation and research efforts to discuss research issues; Collaborate effectively with peers in the Assurance community.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in ERM and related areas

• Deep knowledge of the ERM leader (or Chief Risk Officer) role as well as an industry perspective.

• Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.

• Superior analytical skills while applying conceptual models and recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.

• Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.

• Executive presence; credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 148,000 USD - 175,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
