About Searchbloom

Searchbloom is an established and growing company offering the opportunity to design and execute innovative PPC strategies, develop new products and services, and grow as a thought leader in the industry.

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Paid Media Strategist to lead strategy, identify high-impact opportunities, and serve as the paid channel growth lead across a portfolio of high-performing partner accounts. You'll guide partners through quarterly strategic roadmaps, execute campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, Amazon Ads, and Google Shopping, and drive measurable ROI for partners across e-commerce (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento), B2B lead generation, and multi-location and franchise brands at the mid-market and enterprise level.

This is a client-facing role. You'll lead partner calls as the primary paid voice, defend strategic direction, and own performance for your book. If you prefer execution-only work without partner interaction, this is not the right role.

You will collaborate closely with our SEO, content, CRO, and development teams to ensure paid recommendations are implemented in ways that support both performance and revenue. We use Teamwork.com for project management and time tracking, which keeps execution accountable and helps us understand where work is going across the partner book.

This is a full-time work from home position reporting to the Director of Paid Media.

Our paid media team is trusted to lead, not just support. This role is central to how we help partners grow.

Also known as: Senior Paid Media Manager, Senior PPC Strategist, Senior Paid Search Strategist

About Searchbloom

Searchbloom is an established and growing performance marketing agency. We run paid media through our proprietary A.C.E. framework, work in tight collaboration with SEO, CRO, and dev teams under one roof, and we treat clients as partners (which is why we call them that). Searchbloom serves small, medium, and enterprise brands across e-commerce, B2B lead generation, and multi-location operators, local business and we are the agency partners choose when they want strategic search marketing.

This role offers the unique opportunity to share your expertise with exceptional digital marketers, make your mark in the organization, and create opportunities for future advancement. We're looking for advanced paid practitioners with a real passion for performance marketing, strong opinions about strategic approaches, and a track record of driving ROI for partners. The majority of your workday will be spent building, executing, and optimizing campaigns and communicating results to partners.

Compensation

$95,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience, technical depth, and partner management skills. We pay at the top of the agency market because we hire experienced strategists who lead, not just execute.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience at a digital marketing agency
  • Proven track record managing a book of partners with meaningful monthly ad spend, with direct ownership of campaign performance rather than execution under someone else's strategy
  • Proven client-facing experience in an agency environment, including leading strategy calls, delivering executive-level reports and defending recommendations
  • Expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, Google Shopping, and Google Ads Editor
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation to create meaningful, partner-facing analysis
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience building, ad copy testing, extensions, and conversion tracking
  • Experience with shopping and feed management, Performance Max, audience signals, and AI-driven bidding strategies
  • Working knowledge of recent platform updates, including smart bidding evolution, Performance Max, generative AI ad features, and privacy-driven measurement changes
  • Proven experience collaborating with SEO, Dev, CRO, and Content teams through meeting preparation, partner-facing communications, and running joint meetings

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Ads or Meta Ads
  • First-party CRM data integration into Google Ads, particularly with HubSpot, including MQL, SQL, and purchase event tracking for B2B and lead gen partners
  • Experience with Google Data Studio, Agency Analytics, Supermetrics, or other reporting tools
  • Familiarity with budget management and account audit platforms such as Shape (Ninja Cat)
  • Familiarity with landing page and CRO platforms like Unbounce
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager for tracking setups, including event and key event configuration in GA4
  • Familiarity with common eCommerce platforms, especially Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, and WooCommerce
  • Experience creating and managing custom reports and dashboards in GA4
  • Experience working in a time-tracked agency environment

Key Behaviors

  • Moldability/adaptability - Successful bloomers bring their diverse set of experience to the role, but use this to adapt and excel performing work "The Searchbloom way." Successful candidates can take/give feedback to adapt and grow
  • "A Player" - We do not accept mediocrity; everyone in Searchbloom is expected to contribute to "unified excellence" / one experience. A key component of this is being a team player (i.e. employee must operate in and thrive as a team)
  • Attitude > Aptitude
  • "Core Values" - Candidates live and execute these values regularly https://www.searchbloom.com/company/
  • Transparency / Integrity - As a remote work from home workforce, we expect high degrees of proactivity and self-management. Work must be completed on time and according to standards. We expect not to have to manage "the basics" (standards of professional conduct, etc.)
  • 6-week ramp-up - Successful candidates must be able to manage accounts in a partner-facing capacity within six weeks
  • Strategic thinking - Candidates must be able to create, articulate, execute, and pivot strategic actions (roadmap). Doing so requires the ability to be empathetic and understand true partner goals beyond just results

Responsibilities

  • Lead the paid media relationship for approximately 5 to 8 partners, with new strategists starting on smaller accounts and progressing to enterprise as merit is proven
  • Own paid strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, Amazon Ads, and Google Shopping using Searchbloom's A.C.E. framework to support performance and business goals
  • Build and deliver ninety day roadmaps (NDRs) for each partner
  • Design and execute full-funnel paid media strategies that align upper, mid, and lower funnel channels to maximize overall conversion efficiency and growth.
  • Align campaign KPIs with attribution models and true business outcomes, ensuring optimization is driven by high-quality conversions and revenue, not just platform-reported metrics.
  • Lead partner calls as the primary paid voice, educate, recommend, and defend strategic direction
  • Manage campaign settings (automated and manual), monthly budgets, keyword and negative keyword strategy, ad copy testing, extensions, and audience creation
  • Prepare and deliver partner reports using current Searchbloom templates, including Looker and Agency Analytics dashboards
  • Conduct kickoff calls and follow Searchbloom's onboarding process for new partners, including welcome communications and Sales-to-Fulfillment transitions
  • Maintain working knowledge of partner sales and lead funnels, including post-conversion processes and CRM integration where applicable
  • Proactively evaluate lead quality and downstream conversion performance using CRM data, identifying inefficiencies such as low-quality or spam leads and adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Prioritize initiatives by difficulty, cost, and potential impact, and make budget recommendations
  • Collaborate with SEO, Content, CRO, and Development teams to execute multi-channel strategies
  • Conduct QA on paid deliverables produced by paid media peers
  • Monitor performance and iterate strategy based on analytics and partner KPIs
  • Proactively identify partner escalation risks and coordinate response with team lead and Director
  • Identify upsell opportunities (budget increases, additional campaigns, cross-sell to SEO, CRO, or Dev) and route to leadership without committing pricing or terms
  • Mentor junior paid media talent as needed and contribute to improving our internal paid playbooks
  • Track time accurately within Teamwork.com so the team can support you, balance workloads, and deliver on partner commitments
  • Use AI to scale account audits, surface optimization gaps, or assist with creative ideation, while relying on human strategy for final decision-making
  • Travel 1 to 2 times per year for partner offsites and Google partner events as needed

Key Performance Indicators

  • ROI for your partners
  • Partner retention
  • Ratio of revenue managed to team member cost
  • Ninety day roadmaps built and on pace
  • Paid-driven conversion volume
  • Partner satisfaction scores
