Seneca Holdings is hiring for an experienced Enterprise Architect who will create the technology vision, drive the strategy, and is responsible for mapping out the architected system ensuring the technical design of the platform fulfills the business needs. This role will use new and existing Information Technology architecture, SaaS based API development and IT operations skills and experience to enhance our functionality, data sharing and security for Seneca Holdings LLC. and its business subsidiaries. This position focuses on the above while following industry and US Government standards also while meeting compliance and security objectives.

The ideal individual for this role will work with IT and business leaders on the definition and delivery of highly scalable and secure enterprise solutions which share data to lower costs, drive efficiency, and boost productivity. This role will collaborate with integrated IT teams and teams across the business.

Summary of Location and Hours:

  • Remote Position – supporting work in Chantilly, VA
  • Monday – Friday approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. Most services are provided during normal business hours. That said, Seneca Holdings and its subsidiaries supports employees and locations worldwide, in many time zones. Planned and unplanned work schedules to include nights and weekends may be necessary. Requirements for on-call support coverage and working hours are also possible.

Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:

  • Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, and infrastructure then architect solutions for enterprise systems.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance and communication of the enterprise roadmap.
  • Evaluate, identify and remediate IT-related risks.
  • Plan, develop, implement and operate the projects and operations within the Enterprise integration strategy.
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of enterprise data flows
  • Define and manage project deliverables whose intent is to optimize usage of data within the organization
  • Deliver Master Data Management (MDM) / Governance deliverables and capabilities to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement operating procedures for IT governance, risk and compliance
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and effectively communicate change control.
  • Ensure architected solutions comply with industry-specific standards and regulation (e.g., ISO 27k, NIST)
  • Identify, define, document requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery testing, planning and execution of the plans as needed.
  • Educate and train teammates.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or Technical degree); or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • At least 5 years of experience with at least one major IaaS and/or PaaS technology (OpenStack, AWS Gov cloud, Azure GCC) including defining and scripting full topologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience with at least one and preferably more than one of the programming languages C#, C++, Java, Javascript.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Web Service Standards such as XML, SOAP, REST, Strong understanding of RDBMS.
  • Technical Skills: SOA, JSon, XSD, Postman, RESTful API.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in purely SaaS cloud environments, within physical office environments and end user productivity with laptops.
  • Ability to define which issues need to be addressed, and the variables that may affect their resolution. The ability to design and deliver solutions that effectively address business and IT issues through technical analysis, troubleshooting, research, evaluation, and communication. 
  • The ability to discuss with key stakeholders and gain buy in on the problem and solution.
  • Must be able to turn solution proposals into reality throughout the process of development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to manage the solution through its lifecycle.
  • Fluency to develop and use solution architecture frameworks and patterns, and best practices to drive and support business growth.

Desired qualifications: 

  • Proven completion of relevant training and or certifications.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
  • IT Governance and Master Data Management experience
