Cortex is the enterprise Internal Developer Portal built to accelerate the path to engineering excellence. Customers like Blackstone, Xero, and Fanatics use Cortex to abstract away complexity for developers with a single interface for all their engineering tools, templates, and tasks. 📍Location

We’re fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere in the US! We have all-company offsites a few times a year where we fly the whole team out to meet in person, build stronger relationships, kick off important projects, and have fun!

💼 Job Summary

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for enterprise technology solutions? We're seeking an experienced and motivated Account Executive, Enterprise to join our high-performing team. You'll play a key role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new enterprise customers and expanding existing accounts. You'll collaborate closely with various teams, including sales, engineering, and executives, to understand complex customer needs and showcase the value of Cortex.

💻 Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive customer acquisition within the enterprise market.
  • Identify and qualify enterprise leads, building relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Conduct thorough discovery to understand customer challenges, goals, and pain points, proposing tailored solutions to address their needs.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, engineering) to support the sales process and ensure customer success.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, effectively communicating features and benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.

✔️Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise B2B software sales, with a strong track record of selling to developers—ideally in the developer tools or SaaS space
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, intricate buying processes, and stakeholder management
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to ambitious revenue and growth goals
  • A proven track record of high performance, self-motivation, and a desire to continually push boundaries
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a results-oriented mindset
  • Bonus points for training in MEDDICC sales qualification or similar sales methodologies

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role starts between $162,500 with an OTE of $325,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for equity and benefits.
