The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead innovation and drive strategic transformation in the energy sector? Hitachi Energy is seeking an Engineering Strategy Program Manager to join our Transformer Business Unit in Hub NAM. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead a team of engineers and technical project managers to implement global strategies, accelerate product development, and enhance engineering tools and processes. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation—facilitating technology transfers, managing Design to Value (DtV) initiatives, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead strategic engineering projects across regional and global teams.
Translate customer needs into actionable project requirements and milestones.
Manage technology transfer (ToT) projects into and out of the Hub.
Drive Design to Value (DtV) initiatives to improve cost competitiveness and customer value.
Oversee testing and implementation of global design tools and provide training to engineering teams.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure new products meet cost and qualification targets.
Supervise direct and indirect reports, including engineers and project managers.
Maintain and enhance local engineering tools to boost efficiency.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally in transformer development or manufacturing.
Proven success in managing complex engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of transformer design principles and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Must have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.
