Overview: As an Engineering Operations Analyst at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process & Tools Management: Maintain documentation and administer tools like Jira and Confluence to support operational consistency and agile workflows. 

  • Lifecycle & Best Practices Support: Enforce the Engineering department's best practices and methodologies for processes and procedures, including identifying SDLC improvements. 

  • Budget Process Oversight: Support the budget process for the software development department, including tracking and reporting on expenditures and headcount.  

  • Operations Calendar Management: Maintain an operations calendar to ensure timely execution of key activities and milestones.  

  • Spend Tracking: Monitor and track departmental spending to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities.  

  • Data, Metrics, and Reporting: Develop data and metrics to surface key information for departmental reporting and insights for the business.  

  • Licensing and Contracts: Assist with software license renewals and support contractor management processes, including tracking agreements and coordinating with vendors.  

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams such as Customer Care, Systems Operations, and Finance as needed to support alignment and progress toward departmental goals. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Advanced prompting skills with large language models. 

  • Proven experience in an operations or analyst role, preferably within a software development environment. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Enjoys new challenges and the opportunity to have a large impact on client deliverables. 

  • Effective time-management and the ability to balance competing priorities and projects effectively. 

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence) is preferred both business and technical skills. 

  • Understanding of advanced Agile/Scrum methodologies.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $115,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
