The Engineering Manager at CertifID will push the boundaries of innovation and further our people-first values by directing the activities of one of our Software Engineering teams. This role is for a former engineer who loves expanding their reach by leading a high-performing team of engineers. The candidate should be experienced in building back-end systems at scale.

- Foster a culture of psychological safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Deeply learn our business to successfully collaborate with other groups across the company to ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and deployed with guaranteed reliability.
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications.
- Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and practices.- Manage engineering team commitments and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software solutions remain competitive
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Although not a strict requirement, candidates for this position will usually have 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering and team management
- Experience in a named role as a people leader.
- Strong technical background
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with current development methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong collaboration and communication skills, valuing teamwork and effective knowledge sharing with technical and non-technical team members.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a knack for problem-solving and optimizing
- Bring a sense of ownership, demonstrate craftsmanship, enjoy collaboration, and have the drive to make an impact.
- Accountable to self and others, establishes trust through consistent and transparent actions.
- Proven track record as a lifelong learner, staying ahead of technological advancements and embracing new methodologies.
