About the Role:

The Global Money Movement team focuses on building and maintaining a software platform which is used by customer facing product lines to move money between our customers and their recipients across borders through our external partner network.

The Kraków teams specifically own:

  • Systems for storing customers' financial information

  • Money movement capabilities

  • Integration with our broad network of card payment partners

As Engineering Manager you'll lead one of two money movement teams within our Global Money Movement organization. You will be reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager based in Kraków.

You Will: 

  • Lead and develop a team of 8 engineers, driving their career growth

  • Set a long-term vision, and direct the team to make sound engineering decisions and appropriate tradeoffs between shipping code fast and making important technical investments for the future.

  • Oversee technical delivery of payment platform components with focus on reliability and scalability

  • Collaborate globally across time zones with product, engineering, and business teams.

  • Bring technical strategy balancing quality, features, and delivery timelines

  • Champion engineering culture through mentoring, hiring, and process improvements

  • Ensure platform excellence in security, performance, and minimal technical debt

  • Travel to our Seattle office 1-2 times a year

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience (ideally, back-end engineering background)

  • 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience 

  • Strong understanding of software development practices, system design, and algorithms

  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud architectures

  • Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent

  • Great communication skills to advocate engineering needs with our business partners

  • Experience leading technical teams in a data-driven way, with a customer-centric mindset

  • Experience working with remote teams would be a plus
