Do you have experience in a fast-paced startup environment? With our recent Series B funding closed, we are looking for another collaborative engineering leader who excels at empowering teams to deliver exceptional results in a lean environment.  Engineering Managers at point.me sit at the intersection of people, process, technology, and business — leading by example, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving alignment with company goals. What You'll Do

Software Delivery:

  • Champion lean, XP, and agile methodologies to improve team productivity and motivation.
  • Ensure smooth delivery by balancing speed with sustainability, quality, and scalability.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, design, data, and other key business stakeholders

People Leadership:

  • Support, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, enabling them to reach their full potential.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Have regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support the growth and development of the team.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering leaders to shape the direction of our engineering org, driving initiatives that support team growth, scalability, and alignment with company goals.

Technical Leadership:

  • Partner with a delivery team and the organization to drive technical excellence and data-driven decisions.
  • Advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment to support growth and scalability.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies, using them to strengthen team performance and product innovation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth by encouraging experimentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the team in navigating complex technical challenges by providing guidance, facilitating architectural discussions, and identifying creative solutions.

Drive the Business Forward:

  • Align engineering efforts with our business goals, ensuring the team you manage delivers meaningful outcomes over output. 
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, translating technical details into business impact.
  • Participate in strategy discussions to help shape the future of point.me.

 

Who You Are

  • Technical Leadership: Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a senior technical leadership role in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Agile & Iterative: Strong understanding of Lean, XP, and Agile methodologies, with a track record of implementing them successfully.
  • Motivational Leader: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams while fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Cross-functional Problem Solving: Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and data.
  • Technical Aptitude: Hands-on technical expertise, with the ability to guide teams in areas like development, testing, or operations.
  • Clear Communication: Excellent, proactive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-first: A customer-first mindset and a passion for creating products that deliver value from a customer-facing perspective.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working with travel booking systems is preferred but not required.

This is a management role, with commensurate responsibility and compensation. The anticipated salary range is $160,000 to $200,000. Specific compensation will be determined based on your level of experience. 

Given the nature of our business, we anticipate that all team members will be traveling from time to time, including company trips and off-sites, or meeting with strategic partners. As such, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is a condition of employment at point.me. We’ll ask you to send us a copy of your vaccination card in advance of your first day.

While our team members can participate from anywhere, all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
