About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering Quality team. This team is responsible for ensuring that releases, metrics, and quality infrastructure of the Onebrief platform. You will oversee release validation, build out quality metrics and dashboards, and establish performance and load testing practices that scale across engineering. Working closely with Product, SRE, and Engineering Enablement, you’ll ensure our releases are safe, measurable, and continually improving. Your team’s work will provide the guardrails and insights that enable all other engineering teams to ship with quality and confidence.

What You’ll Do
Prioritization & Execution: Drive clear prioritization of quality initiatives and ensure disciplined execution, balancing long-term improvements with immediate release needs.
Release Validation: Lead the definition and execution of release validation processes, ensuring confidence in every deployment.
Quality Metrics: Define and track org-wide quality metrics, Identifying areas of high impact, building dashboards that provide visibility and accountability across teams.
Performance & Load Testing: Establish frameworks, practices and guidance for performance, load, and stress testing across client and server systems.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Product, SRE, and CR teams to ensure that releases meet quality standards and customer impact is well understood.
Team Leadership: Grow, mentor, and lead a team of quality-focused engineers. Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Qualifications
Leadership & Management Experience
3+ years managing engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career growth
Proven ability to coach engineers and build healthy team dynamics
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, SRE, and Engineering
Technical Expertise
5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or performance engineering
Strong background in release validation and optimization, including CI/CD pipelines and automated test coverage
Hands-on experience with performance/load testing tools and methodologies
Familiarity with observability, tooling, and quality dashboards
Platform & Delivery Focus
Track record of improving reliability and release confidence through metrics and automation
Experience owning long-lived test frameworks or infrastructure that supports multiple teams
Familiarity with bug lifecycle management and incident response processes
Communication & Collaboration
Clear, thoughtful communicator who writes well and aligns teams asynchronously
Collaborative, low-ego leadership style focused on trust and shared accountability
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with engineering enablement or platform orgs
Background in building quality platforms or shared testing infrastructure
Familiarity with military, govtech, or other high-trust or regulated environments
