POSITION OVERVIEW 

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise software solutions across web, mobile, backend, cloud, and integration platforms. Provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, establish engineering best practices, drive architectural decisions, and ensure successful execution of complex digital transformation initiatives. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions while fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 

Technical Leadership & Architecture 

  • Lead engineering teams in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.  
  • Drive technical strategy, architecture, and technology selection aligned with business objectives.  
  • Review and approve solution designs, code quality, and engineering standards.  
  • Ensure applications meet security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability requirements.  
  • Guide teams in implementing modern engineering patterns, cloud-native architectures, and API-first design principles.  
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and provide hands-on support when necessary.  

Engineering Delivery 

  • Lead end-to-end software delivery across multiple Agile teams.  
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan releases, prioritize technical work, and manage delivery risks.  
  • Monitor project execution, engineering velocity, and delivery quality.  
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and business expectations.  
  • Drive continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevSecOps best practices.  

People Leadership 

  • Mentor and coach engineers, technical leads, and senior developers.  
  • Conduct technical reviews, performance evaluations, and career development planning.  
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture.  
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and technical interviewing activities.  
  • Promote knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous learning across teams.  

Quality & Operational Excellence 

  • Champion engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, observability, and secure development.  
  • Improve engineering processes through metrics, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Ensure production readiness through monitoring, logging, incident management, and root cause analysis.  
  • Drive technical debt reduction and platform modernization initiatives.  

Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Partner with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.  
  • Communicate engineering progress, technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to leadership.  
  • Support strategic planning, roadmap development, and technology investment decisions.  

AI-Assisted Engineering 

  • Leverage enterprise-approved generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity across software design, development, documentation, testing, code review, debugging, and knowledge management while adhering to organizational governance and security policies.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.  
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years leading engineering teams.  
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications across web, mobile, backend, and cloud platforms.  
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.  
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), backend technologies (.NET, Java, Node.js, or similar), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).  
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.  
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.  
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.  
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading distributed technical teams.  

Preferred 

  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Retail, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.  
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms, SRE practices, and production operations.  
  • Experience leading digital transformation, modernization, or cloud migration initiatives.  
  • Professional certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Scrum, SAFe, or Architecture are preferred.

EXPERIENCE 

  • 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.  
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams or multiple technical workstreams.  
  • Proven success delivering large-scale digital products from concept through production.  
  • Experience working with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.  
  • Strong track record of driving engineering excellence, technical innovation, and successful software delivery. 

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 44,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 154,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
