Evaluate system designs in partnerships with Aircraft Engineering. Engage with the reliability and Quality teams to identify different hardware defects.

What you will do
- Manage 24X7 support of systemic aircraft issues as related to the Intelsat airborne system.
- Define, Review and Modify installation/Maintenance documents and procedures.
- Proactively identify, develop, and drive opportunities to improve processes and tools to increase the overall effectiveness of the team.
- Lead cross functional teams on triaging system interaction issues and driving them to closure.
- Define dashboards and metrics; establish SLA for the work conducted
- Create, review, and modify maintenance manuals, fault isolation manuals, Service bulletins.
- Proactively identify defects by reviewing system data logs
- Collect data and generate weekly/monthly metrics on all issues reported, triaged and resolved meeting the defined SLA
- Be an SME for HDW related technical issues and training other team members
Your required experience/skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a fleet support or engineering role, ideally within the Avionics industry
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to address and troubleshoot problems associated with aircraft-based equipment.
- Has used electronic test equipment before.
- Strong skills in reading electrical schematics.
- Knowledge with aircraft wiring (power, data bus, discrete I/O, Quadrax)
- Experience with avionics and flight systems
- This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee). (remove if not applicable)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, vendors, and management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to resolving technical issues quickly and effectively
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
It would be nice if you had:
- Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet familiarity.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with IP networking.
- FAA, RTCA & ARINC standards and regulations familiarity
