In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind AHEAD’s internal communications strategy with an opportunity to shape narratives and foster a cohesive company culture. You will also support public relations efforts by assisting with media strategy and external messaging development.
You'll ensure our internal team and external stakeholders stay informed, engaged, and inspired by creating and publishing content and serving as an advisor to stakeholders and company leaders.
This role reports to the Communications Director and sits within the Strategy and Communications Department.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy.
- Create and distribute compelling company news covering company initiatives, partner and client updates, awards, talent acquisitions, and employee features.
- Produce AHEAD’s weekly internal newsletter.
- Maintain the front page of AHEAD’s employee intranet.
- Serve as an advisor and resource for AHEAD’s functional communications leaders, educate on communications best practices and support in developing communications plans.
- Leverage digital, in-office signage to share relevant company news and updates.
- Develop processes and resources to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to create strategic communications plans for major initiatives.
- Partner with change management teams to develop and deliver key messages.
- Manage internal communications calendar with process and discipline.
- Manage AHEAD’s internal communications tools.
- Draft press releases about company initiatives.
- Develop media relations strategies to amplify company news and stories.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering strategic internal communications within an enterprise organization.
- Public relations/media relations experience.
- Excellent writer/editor with an ability to distill complex ideas into consumable content.
- In-depth knowledge of communications best practices and the ability to create educational resources.
- Strong collaborator, comfortable working with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proactive and adaptable with an eye for emerging communications trends and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently from conception to completion.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
