The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an AMERICAS Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing EHS Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Assist country governance leaders, site leaders, country EHS leaders and EHS points of contact with managing injury prevention initiatives and provide support for corporate, federal, country, and/or regulatory environmental, health & safety issues that surface in non-manufacturing facilities across the region.
- Establish and maintain the region’s EHS Governance process, i.e., the Non-manufacturing EHS committee to ensure EHS resources (full time where required or part time EHS points of contact) are in place within each country to assist with implementing required EHS processes and programs.
- Assist all sites with completing EHS self-assessments and developing annual improvement plans.
- Responsible for assisting with the development of Global EHS policies, standards and programs that are aligned with Global EHS Strategy and lead implementation across the AMERICAS region’s manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites.
- Assist AMERICAS site EHS managers and site leaders with managing serious injury & fatality (SIF) & Non-SIF prevention initiatives and provide support for corporate, federal, country, and/or regulatory environmental, health & safety issues that surface in manufacturing facilities across the region.
- Assist AMERICAS sites with implementing Solventum’s Environmental, Health & Safety Management system, and Global EHS policies & standards.
- Lead the implementation at AMERICAS sites of Solventum’s EHS enterprise-wide compliance process to comply with applicable regulatory, and legal requirements and Solventum’s EHS policies, standards and programs.
- Conduct incident investigations involving SIFs, potential SIFs and Non-SIF incidents and assist manufacturing sites with their investigations and preparation of learning content, e.g., EHS alerts, bulletins and best practices to expedite horizontal deployment across the business.
- Analyze EHS incident data, i.e., review root causes and corrective actions for trends and develop potential improvement plans.
- Provide analysis of environmental regulatory changes and develop compliance guidance to regional and site EHS and operations leaders.
- Assist with EHS due diligence and acquisition integration activities.
- Lead and participate in Solventum Global EHS Audits.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND ten (10) years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Safety Sciences, or Engineering in a private, public, government, or military environment
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Five (5) years of site EHS leadership experience OR three (3) years of multi-site EHS support experience
- Experience implementing serious injury and fatality prevention initiatives, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 or ISO 45001), and EHS compliance programs
- Experience applying U.S. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) laws and regulations
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Experience developing and implementing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs
- Experience leading teams or managing EHS functions, including people leadership or coordination of team activities
- Experience communicating EHS requirements, risks, and outcomes through written reports, presentations, or stakeholder discussions
- Experience applying analytical and problem‑solving approaches to resolve EHS-related issues and improve outcomes
- Experience working in multicultural or global environments, including collaboration across diverse teams or regions
- Experience influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels to support EHS initiatives and compliance
- Experience supporting customer-facing or internal stakeholder needs, including service delivery or issue resolution
- Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies and delivering completed improvement projects

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $163,200 - $224,400, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
