The EHS&C Systems Specialist will support all activities related to EHS&C Systems, SEMS Programs, Insite, LMS/Training, and Vendor Credentialing platforms including but limited to providing support in development, improvement, implementation and deployment throughout the organization working closely with all business partners, EHS, RECM, HR, and Operations.


 

The EHS&C Systems Specialist  will support all activities related to EHS&C Systems, SEMS Programs, Insite, LMS/Training, and Vendor Credentialing platforms including but limited to providing support in development, improvement, implementation and deployment throughout the organization working closely with all business partners, EHS, RECM, HR, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEMS Program Development:

    • Ongoing development of SEMS program – support Systems team and field on changes being deployed 

    • Make recommended changes to SEMS as organizational changes develop

    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

  • Insite Program Development:

    • Support development and maintenance of EHSC site content, news information, operations team requests etc.

    • Assist in getting feedback from EHSC/Operations on requests for changes for site improvement

    • Support communication plan deployments 

    • Develop, deploy and maintain news information, working with Marketing team and IT systems

  • LMS and Training Program Development:

    • Support LMS/Training program development needs, review of documents/training materials as needed

    • Support LMS/Training with system location management within the system auditing locations, people training and certifications

    • Review of training materials as needed

    • Coordate training and proficiency requirements for different job functions and providing support for LMS programs in conjunction with requirements and set up

  • Vendor Credentialing:

    • Support the Vendor Credentialing program by providing EHS&C related statistics and documentation as requested. 

    • Respond to requests for information regarding Requests for Proposals (RFPs), customer bids, and other compliance related requests by customers

  • Support EHS&C Programs and Initiatives:

    • Support other EHS&C Programs and Initiatives as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Four (4) year degree in safety, environmental management or technology or related relevant experience

  • 2-5 years experience in EHS&C activities.

  • 05 years experience in waste industry

  • Experience with enterprise systems for managing EHS processes preferred

  • Experience with Google  needed

  • Experience with training and LMS system management preferred.

  • Possess valid driver’s license.

  • Combination of education and/or experience

  • Maintains the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality regarding company information.

  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication as well as presentation skills with the ability to communicate to all levels within the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives.

  • Ability to write and understand reports and correspondence

  • Ability to acquire and apply knowledge necessary to solve safety and environmental related problems.

  • Work in indoor environment 70% of the time. Remainder of time will be spent outdoors at hauling companies, transfer stations, MRF and landfill or other physical locations.

  • Environmental noise level is usually moderate to loud.

  • Occasionally exposed to loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.

  • Early morning start times are occasional.

  • Travel may be occasionally required.
