These acts of remembrance serve as a reminder of the unwavering commitment and bravery of those who have given so much to safeguard our freedoms and protect our communities. The Lucky Foundation is seeking an education expert to join our Advisory Board as the Financial Aid Director. The Financial Aid Director will be part of the Leadership Committee of the Advisory Committee, a position which comes with more responsibilities than joining as a member. The Financial Aid Director position will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership.
Job Summary
The Financial Aid Director at The Lucky Foundation plays a critical role in ensuring program participants have access to financial resources to support their education. This individual will develop and implement strategies to assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including scholarships, grants, and loans. The Financial Aid Director will work closely with students, families, and educational institutions to provide comprehensive financial aid guidance.
Responsibilities
● Develop and implement a comprehensive financial aid strategy to support program participants.
● Stay updated on federal, state, and local financial aid policies, regulations, and deadlines.
● Provide guidance and support to students and families in completing financial aid applications, including the FAFSA and CSS Profile.
● Collaborate with educational institutions, scholarship providers, and community organizations to identify additional financial aid opportunities.
● Assess students' financial needs and develop personalized financial aid plans.
● Educate students on financial literacy, budgeting, and managing student loans responsibly.
● Monitor and track financial aid applications, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
● Coordinate financial aid workshops, webinars, and information sessions for program participants.
● Collaborate with scholarship coordinators and educational preparedness directors to ensure a seamless support system for students.
● Evaluate the effectiveness of financial aid programs and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement.
● All other duties and responsibilities as needed.
