Job Summary:
The Director, Tax Finance will lead ProPharma's tax strategy, planning, and compliance functions. This role is responsible for managing all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws, and optimizing the company's tax position.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns.
- Manage tax audits and disputes, working closely with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to senior management and other departments.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Lead and mentor the tax finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and financial statement disclosures.
- Evaluate and implement tax technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax processes.
- Represent the company in tax-related discussions with external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive experience in tax finance, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful tax strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
