The Role

Your role
As Director, Strategic Workforce Planning, you will focus on ensuring the organization has the right capacity in place to meet current and future demand. You will translate business forecasts into actionable capacity plans, balancing supply and demand across people, skills, and delivery needs.

Your work enables leaders to make informed decisions, reduce risk, and deliver consistent outcomes for customers. This role blends analytical work with close collaboration across HR, Finance, and business stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on planning accuracy and scenario-based decision making.
What you will do

  • Develop short and long-term capacity plans aligned to business demand, growth forecasts, and delivery commitments

  • Analyze workload, utilization, and demand trends to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities

  • Partner with business, HR, and Finance teams to align capacity plans with workforce strategies and financial targets

  • Build and maintain forecasting models and planning scenarios to support decision making

  • Track actual capacity versus plan and clearly communicate variances and impacts

  • Produce regular capacity reports and insights that enable leaders to take timely action

  • Support continuous improvement of capacity planning processes, tools, and data quality

  • Contribute to planning cycles such as annual planning, quarterly reviews, and ad hoc scenario analysis

Who You Are

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in capacity planning, workforce planning, or demand planning in a complex organization

  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Experience building forecasts, models, or scenarios using structured planning approaches

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across HR, Finance, and business teams

  • Experience preparing reports or dashboards for leadership audiences

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel or equivalent planning tools

  • Ability to manage multiple planning inputs while maintaining accuracy and consistency

Preferred skills and experience

  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization

  • Familiarity with workforce management or applied intelligence concepts

  • Experience supporting annual or long-range planning cycles

  • Knowledge of financial or headcount planning processes

  • Experience improving planning processes or data governance

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $156,360 to $296,880 based on a full-time schedule.  Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California (San Francisco Bay Area): $187,560 to $356,280 

California (All Other): $171,960 to $326,520 

Colorado: $156,360 to $296,880 

Massachusetts: $156,360 to $326,520 

New York City: $187,560 to $356,280 

Washington: $171,960 to $326,520 

Washington DC: $171,960 to $326,520 

         

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
