As a Director, Strategic Sourcing here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the procurement strategy and initiatives to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and establish strong supplier relationships. Your expertise in strategic sourcing and supply chain management will be instrumental in driving business growth and competitiveness.

You will report directly to our VP Procurement and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings, working capital improvement, and supplier quality. You will be responsible for developing and executing annual and strategic procurement plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • NPI process engagement, optimization, KPIs, and GDM deployment
  • SBG/GBE design and development interface for Mechanical DMCOE
  • Early supplier engagement (DfC / DfS) to influence design 
  • Supplier technology MDMCOE interface
  • Innovation pipeline development
  • Make vs. Buy engagement
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience with building and cultivating relationships with business and functional stakeholders (ex. engineering, offering management)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms.
  • International experience with exposure to high-growth regions.
  • Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing.

WE VALUE:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical components (ex. metals, plastics, machining, castings, mechanical assemblies, packaging) strategic sourcing and domain expertise.
  • Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience.
  • Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Experience with SAP, E-Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
