The opportunity

The Director, Strategic Partnerships is a critical member of HBP’s Strategic Partnerships Team with a focus on B2B channel partnerships that extend HBP’s impact, relevance, and reach.

Operating from a One HBP perspective, and working collaboratively as part of an entrepreneurial team, this role owns the evolution of HBP’s B2B channel ecosystem—including learning experience platforms (LXPs), content aggregators, and other enterprise platforms—exploring ways to expand and enhance impact via these channels in the AI era.  (note: these channels are distinct from product distributors or resellers, which are managed separately)

The role will also contribute to the evolution of HBP’s broader partner ecosystem and plays a key role in evolving the partnerships practice as a HBP strategic capability.

What you'll do:

Enterprise B2B Channel Partnerships

  • Own and evolve HBP’s portfolio of B2B channel partnerships, including LXPs, content aggregators, and enterprise platforms
  • Define the strategic role, objectives, and success metrics for each partner in alignment with enterprise priorities
  • Ensure channel offerings are clearly differentiated from HBP-owned destinations and product portfolios by leveraging co-development models where appropriate
  • Lead partner identification, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure channel strategies are aligned, well‑integrated, and executable
  • Maintain clear guardrails around brand, intellectual property, and portfolio differentiation

Partnership Ecosystem

  • Contribute insight and perspective to the evolution of HBP’s partner ecosystem
  • Support exploration of new enterprise use cases and capabilities
  • Engage in partner identification, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management

Contribute to Evolving the Partnerships Practice

  • Help evolve partnership frameworks, governance models, and performance measurement approaches
  • Develop playbooks and best practices to make partnerships repeatable and scalable across HBP
  • Serve as a connector across strategy, product, sales, technology, finance, and legal teams

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, corporate development, or related strategy roles with a track record of consistently delivering on revenue growth expectations
  • Strong orientation toward enterprise markets
  • Deep experience and proven competency with complex dealmaking and relationship management
  • Experience with platform‑based partnerships such as LXPs or content ecosystems
  • Strong commercial judgment paired with operational execution
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution instincts
  • Adept negotiator and dealmaker
  • Collaborative, low‑ego leadership style
  • Comfortable representing HBP with senior external partners
  • Intellectually curious about enterprise learning, platforms, and emerging technologies
  • Clear and compelling communicator

What we offer

HBP is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Salary range $180,000 - $200,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. This position is also eligible to participate in HBP’s sales variable bonus plan. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
