We are seeking a highly motivated team member to serve as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for our Power Delivery Services division. In this role, you will drive new business and build external engineering relationships with key construction clients and developers that build power systems across the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and strengthen existing relationships across the construction and energy development industries.
  • Lead Leidos's development of engineering opportunities driven by the construction sector.
  • Collaborate with our utility practice growth team to identify potential construction clients and develop strategies to deliver unparalleled value.
  • Review RFPs, lead and participate in proposal efforts, conduct risk assessments, and obtain senior management approval for proposals.
  • Partner directly with nationwide construction clients to gain an understanding of project scope and scale, from engineering design through construction support.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships, driving continuous service models built on trust and ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Support sales and new business activities driven from the utility market by collaborating with utility-facing business development teams.
  • Champion the identification and cultivation of opportunities across all segments of the electric power sector not directly provided to traditional electric power utilities.
  • Work with project managers and the finance team to deliver cost-effective offers that provide differentiated value to our clients.
  • Provide periodic reporting on sales channels and funnels, project future opportunities, and support the Vice President of EPC Solutions with business planning and projections.
  • Attend conferences, provide thought leadership, and execute engagement events to build trust and expand knowledge of Leidos' capabilities with targeted clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and twelve (12) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of expanding engineering opportunities with power industry construction firms or renewable development firms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the electric power delivery industry, with specific knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution systems, as well as the integration of renewable energy sources.
  • Experience with alternative contract delivery models such as EPC, Design-Build, and Progressive Design-Build.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also working independently.
  • Experience with sales pipeline creation and tracking.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Travel: 50%

Work Location: This position is open to candidates nationwide and can be remote or based in one of our major hub offices.

  • Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching.
  • Knowledge of engineering estimates, construction cost estimating, specification, material procurement processes, project schedule creation, and construction work packages.

Pay Range:Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
