Position Summary
The Director – Strategic Alliances & Ecosystem Partnerships will be responsible for building, managing, and expanding the external ecosystem around C3.
This role serves as the bridge between external technology partners and internal C3 teams, ensuring successful execution of integration initiatives, technical collaborations, marketplace alignment, and joint go-to-market programs.
The successful candidate will help shape the future of C3's ecosystem strategy across cloud providers, distributors, software vendors, cybersecurity platforms, AI providers, and cloud marketplaces.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on product strategy, partner growth, market expansion, and long-term platform differentiation.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Strategy & Expansion
- Define and execute C3's ecosystem and alliance strategy.
- Identify and prioritize strategic technology partners and integration opportunities.
- Build long-term partnership roadmaps aligned with C3 product and business goals.
- Evaluate ecosystem opportunities based on customer demand, revenue potential, retention impact, and strategic value.
- Develop business cases and ROI models for new integrations and partnerships.
Strategic Vendor Relationships
Build executive and operational relationships with some of the biggest providers like:
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microsoft
- Other strategic infrastructure, SaaS, cloud, security, and marketplace vendors
Responsibilities include:
- Executive stakeholder management
- Partnership negotiations
- Integration discussions
- Joint planning sessions
- Technical collaboration programs
- Business reviews and alliance governance
Integration Enablement
Act as the primary point of coordination between vendors and internal teams.
Support:

Ensure Product and Engineering teams receive the support needed to successfully build and launch integrations.
Joint Go-To-Market (GTM) Programs
Lead ecosystem-driven GTM initiatives including:

- Marketplace listings
- Joint customer events
- Sales enablement programs
- Partner referrals
- Co-sell motions
- Launch campaigns for new integrations
Work closely with Product Delivery, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to maximize ecosystem value.
Vendor Intelligence & Market Analysis
Monitor:

- Channel initiatives
- Competitive partnership activity
- Emerging technology trends
- AI ecosystem developments
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on ecosystem insights.

Requirements
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Strategic Partnerships
- Technology Alliances
- Ecosystem Development

- SaaS Business Development
- ISV Alliances
- Proven experience working with cloud or SaaS ecosystems.
- Experience managing executive-level vendor relationships.
- Experience leading strategic partnership initiatives from concept through execution.
