Overview
The Distributed Platforms team is looking for a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to join our Dublin Tech Hub. As part of a global team this role will focus on leading our operational presense in Europe as well as owning and driving key global SRE initatives of automation, obserability, monitoring and operational resilience.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands on technical experience across our core technologies of Linux, Windows, Vmware and Storage and experience working in critical operational environments. The ideal candidate will also be passionate about infrastucture resilency, measuring what matters, reducing toil, continually improving our processes and resilency capabilities across our core technology stacks.
Role
In this position, you will:• Build and run our SRE operational presense in Europe• Be the in-region owner and commander for operational incidents• Define, measure and report key operational KPIs along with maintaing ITSM metrics• Own a key pillar of SRE maturity of automation/toil-reduction, obserbability/monitoring or operational resilency• Mentor engineers and develop a strong SRE mindset across our operations

The ideal candidate for this position should:• Have strong technical experience in Windows, Linux, Storage and Vmware technologies• Have technical experience administering a container runtime planform such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes• Have experience managing an operations or SRE team• Have experience working to ITSM practices• Have experience driving automation and observability and resiliency improvements• Have strong communication skills capable of presenting to an executive audience• Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills• Stive to challenge the status-quo and drive continual improvement
